Ceiling fixings with wire ropes

Screw Size: 4mm x 40mm (Imperial no. 8 x 1 1/2 inch)

These hanging hardware components provide a secure TOP FIXING to a ceiling or roof space, providing a plain end hanging wire.  These top fixings do not provide any height adjustment facility.  (Other ceiling anchor fittings incorporating a clutch mechanism for height adjustment at the ceiling are available).

To complete the set, a bottom fitting (such as a hook) is required.  A choice of suitable bottom components is available here: BOTTOM FITTINGS.

Loadings

The safe working load depends on what the top fitting is anchored to - i.e. on the load-carrying ability of the top fixing.  The wire rope will safely carry a load of 15kg. Still, it is likely that the ceiling fixing may only be suitable for a lesser loading - especially suspended ceilings and plasterboard unless specialist proprietary plasterboard screws and plugs are used in place of the 'basic' plugs supplied with these components.

Dimensions

The screw ceiling anchor is a petite matte silver fitting with a diameter of just 12mm.
Dome slotted anchor has a 16mm diameter and a shiny chrome finish.
Twist ceiling anchor fits onto ceilings with a standard 25mm wide ceiling grid.
