Lockable snap frames + allen key lock

• This model is not supplied with an actual key - refer to our lockable poster cases if that is what you are after.
• The hexagonal key supplied is used to undo a securing screw with a recessed hexagonal socket in the countersunk head.
• While any hex key of the correct size will do it may be assumed that the passing thief or vandal is unlikely to be carrying one - so the poster is likely to be safe.

The other type of vandal resistant snap frame is called a secure snap frame. We also supply lockable poster cases with hinged lockable doors.

Size Information for aluminium snap frames

• The width of the surround is 3.2cm = 32mm
• Front to back depth of 32mm profile snap frame: 19mm
• A4 relates to the size of paper an A4 frame will fit.
• A narrow strip around the edge of your print is hidden when the frame is closed.
  Visible poster size: 20mm less than actual poster (i.e. 10mm all round your poster is hidden by the frame surround) 
• The overall size of the frame is larger than the paper inserted.

Fix snap frames using screws

• The best way to permanently fix snap frame is with screws.
• Screws and plastic wall plugs are included with every snap frame we supply
• The wall plugs are for use with masonry walls such as brick and most plastered walls 
• When screwing onto wood the plugs are not needed 
• A power drill and screwdriver are required for screw fixing (and we recommend using a spirit level and tape measure to ensure the frames are properly aligned). If in doubt please consult a proficient DIY or trades person.
